About Me

From fog to clarity — and everything in between.

There was no dramatic rock bottom. I never lost everything or needed an intervention.

Instead, my path to sobriety felt more like a trampoline, one moment bouncing up thinking, “I’m good, I’ve got this,” the next realizing I’d left my phone on the street and the police were knocking, worried I was missing. And just when I’d convince myself, “See? You’re fine,” I’d do something I couldn’t take back. Like embarrass myself at the work Christmas party. Or drink too much the night before my 40th birthday, and spend the milestone morning hungover, ashamed, and facing a truth I could no longer ignore:

You don’t “got this.” Not when it comes to alcohol.

What happened next surprised even me.

I thought quitting drinking would be hard (and it was). But I didn’t expect it to quietly fix so many other parts of my life.

My overflowing “fix myself” to-do list? It started resolving itself.
Health. Energy. Focus. Self-respect.
I became someone I could rely on.

For the first time, there were no more little lies. No more backpedaling. Just… me. Clear. Steady. Awake.

And that? It’s far more than a fleeting feeling. That’s what I want to share. That’s what this book, Cracking the Quitting Code, is all about.

This isn’t just about you.

It’s about us.

I don’t believe alcohol is just a personal problem. I believe it’s a societal weapon, one that keeps us numb, passive, and disconnected from our power.

A culture addicted to the illusion of control is easier to manipulate. Easier to sell to. Easier to silence.

But take alcohol away, and something wild happens:
You wake up.
You get clear.
You start to see.

This book isn’t here to lecture you. It’s not the answer, just an offering. One voice among many. A spark. A mirror. A message for those who feel that quiet inner whisper that says:

“You’re meant for more than this.”

Who am I?

I'm a visionary. A hummingbird soul in a turtle-paced world. A creator, an artist, a reader, and an alchemy-obsessed multi-project explorer.

I’ve traveled solo to over 38 countries, working around the world. Now I’m grounding myself in something deeper: truth, clarity, and conscious living.

Professionally, I’m an accidental yacht chef (truly, I never meant to cook for a living), yacht broker, qualified interior designer, and an award-winning sustainability advocate.
Life’s never been linear, and I like it that way.

My friends say:

  • “You’re scared, but you do it anyway.”

  • “You make people feel safe, like they can tell you anything.”

  • “You’re warm, funny, and easy to be around.”

That’s who I try to be:
Your big sister or Sober Aunty, holding the door open, saying:
“Come on in. You’re not too late. You’re not too broken. And no, you don’t have to do this alone.”

This site is for you if…

  • You’ve ever said, “I’m just cutting back,” but felt something deeper calling.

  • You’ve woken up and thought “Never again”, and found yourself drinking the next weekend.

  • You’ve wondered if alcohol might be the thing stopping you from achieving your dreams.

You’re not weak.
You’re waking up.
And I’m here for it.

If this book does what I hope it will…

…we’ll shift something, not just personally, but culturally.

I believe a million people getting sober can change the world.

Let’s start there.
Let’s start here.
Let’s crack the quitting code, together.
